Fund Explorer

Look a fund up by name or CNPJ, then follow the largest funds through time — net assets, quota, rebased return and monthly flow.

Two limits shape everything below.

  • The site is static: per-fund time series exist only for a driver set of the largest funds, not on demand for any fund you search.
  • A fund's return basis differs by family — FI is a true quota return, FII is compounded dividend yield, everything else is net-asset growth that conflates flows with performance — so the return lines are not comparable to one another.

Ranked performance within an asset class is on Performance.

"Funds with a registry name" is the honest read on labelling: every other fund below is identified by CNPJ because cvm_fund_registry has not published a name for it yet.

"Reporting in newest period" counts funds at max(period) across all families, and FIP is stored at 31-Dec of its reporting year — a date in the future for most of the calendar year. For most of the year that tile therefore counts FIP filers, not the monthly reporting population. Per-family reporting counts, month by month, are on Pipeline Ops.

Search the Universe

The 400 largest funds by latest reported net assets, from search_funds('', null, 400). Type a name, a CNPJ fragment, or an entity type into the search box. A fund whose net assets are blank has a registry entry but no monthly observation in fact_fund_monthly — an absence, not a zero.

Universe by Asset Class

What the searchable universe is made of. Funds are counted from dim_fund and money from each fund's most recent observation, so With an Observation is the share of each class that has actually filed — the rest are registry entries with no monthly report behind them. The same composition as a monthly trend is on Industry Structure.

Profile Cards — 12 Largest Funds

One fund_profile(cnpj) call per fund. Share of peak is the fund's latest net assets against its own historical peak: well under 100% means it has been redeemed or paid out, not that it under-performed. is_active is CVM-reported reporting recency (a report within 90 days), not a solvency judgement.

Net Assets Through Time — Six Largest Funds

fund_nav_series(cnpj, …) over 36 months. Months a fund did not report are gaps in the line rather than carried-forward values.

Quota value (vl_quota) is published on the FI daily file only, so it is blank for FIDC / FIAGRO / FII / FIP rows in the table below. Use the rebased return chart in the next section to compare funds of different quota scales.

Rebased Return — Six Largest Funds

Rebased to the start of the window. The basis differs by family and is shown as a column — FI is a true quota return, FII is compounded dividend yield, and everything else is net-asset growth, which conflates flows with performance. Lines on different bases are not comparable: a property of the source, not of the chart. Cross-sectional rankings apply the same rule on Performance.

Flow Trend — Six Largest FI Funds

fund_flow_trend(cnpj, …). Restricted to FI on purpose: subscriptions and redemptions are summed from cvm_fi_diario and exist only on the FI branch of fact_fund_monthly, so charting them for other families would show an empty line that reads as "no flows" instead of "not published".

Redemption pressure is redemptions over net assets — the measure that says whether an outflow is large relative to the fund carrying it, which a level in reais does not.
